I love this cooler weather we have been having because my cats have both slept on the bed with me the past 3 nights! Grace starts out right on top of me and winds up along side me and Blondie stands her ground right by my head and there is no fighting. I can pet both of them at the same time and hear them purr! It is just the best.

Florida needs more colder temps! Raiden usually sleeps with me but last night he was in his heated bed in the living room. I got up at 3 a.m. to make sure he was still breathing. It is snowing in Nashville, TN right now. Raiden normally is howling for a walk, but he is not liking snow this year. Enjoy this while it lasts, Jill.

Yea, that's one thing to look forward to about Winter. All I have to do is feed the cats a small snack before bed, then shut them in the bedroom, turn on the heated blanket on the bed, and that guarantees 2-3 cats on the bed every night And they are funny. None of them is in ANY hurry to get up in the morning. Sleeping in until 9-10am is just fine by them

Raiden does not wake me up in the middle of the night in the winter time, too. And he's great about coming back to bed when I fall back sleep after the hubby leaves for work! It's still dark outside at that point and the bed is still warm!

They let me sleep until 8:30 today! I cold have slept longer but Blondie pounced right across my stomach. Translated as "get up and feed us!" By the time I wandered into the kitchen they were both whining like little babies.

It's so windy today, my neighbor's king Palm just toppled over! It's about 65 out and my kitties are racing all over the patio and house chasing each other. Grace keeps jumping on my lap briefly to warm up then flies off to chase Blondie.

I know temps were going to be really chilly last night -- how did Grace and Blondie do?

It was in the 40s last night but my house is really well insulated. It was 73 wen I went to bed. I opened the shades this morning to let the sun in and let them run around on the patio so it went down to 70 in the house, but tonight should be milder outside. If it gets too chilly I can light a fire in the fireplace. My A/c is on the fritz until next Friday so I want to keep things cool. Next week it's going back up to the mid 70s.

Another cold night last night. I am getting used to Grace lying on top of me and cutting the circulation off in my legs, lol.

LOL, Jill! Our low last night was about 44 degrees! Tonight it will be below freezing once more! I'd give anything for a 70-degree day right now -- with sunshine, of course.
