Both my cats make this strange sound when they are grooming themselves. It is sort of like they are blowing bubbles into their fur and making this loud noise. It's really kind of funny and they both do it. I never heard a cat do this before.

Raiden is a silent groomer! I will occasionally hear a "lap" but that's about it.

Oscar is also a silent groomer. He sometimes kind of bites a bit before licking flat but apart from a few squelching noises it's silent! Can you film Gracie and Blondie doing it or is it too quiet for film?

Jagger is a silent groomer, but Hendrix keeps chatting - it sounds like he is really, really trying to talk to you. He reminds me of an advert when I was a child, 'Charlie Says' - it was a kid and his cat and Charlie the cat would talk to the child about safety.

Hendrix also talks after eating and sounds very funny then too, I'm sure he tried to say hello to me this morning lol I assume he's telling me how much he enjoyed his food but who knows?!

Jill, is it a good sound? If Raiden is wearing his harness when he's trying to groom, he will bite the harness and make this noise, but it's not actually from his grooming. He is being a little boogar this morning. It's time for his walk and he lets me know it. There is nothing silent about that. LOL

I guess it is something they invented and because one does it, the other does it too. I'll see if I can capture it on video tonight when I go home.
