It could take a little while for Olly's hormones to dwindle! I still think it's the kitten and the fact that Kiara is still new to him. He's obviously getting used to her from all the grooming that he does to her. Before long, he will adore his baby sister!

Well olly Is back from the vets and he is not good. He is running around frantic and can't settle. I plan to keep him Seperate from kiara for the next few days but he got through a door and full force attacked her. Looks like the anathestic has reacted badly with him. How where your cats after the snip? Xx

Diesel was very lovey dovey after his snip but every cat is different and I've heard of adverse reactions like that before.

He probably needs a few days of isolation to let it all wear off, and then you're going to have to do some slow introductions again. In the mean time scent swapping with towels or blankets will help.

The only male cat I had neutered was a stray I found and he was 3 years old. It took forever for the anesthesia to wear off. He was not in a great mood for two days. I can't believe Olly isn't doped up or in some type of pain! Definitely keep him in a closed room. He should not be running around like crazy. I was told to keep mine calm for a few days. Did the vet give you some pain pills? He may be running around from the discomfort! I tell you, you have a little "monster" on your hands!!! LOL I thought my Raiden was a handful! You may have to take a few steps back with this whole thing before you can move forward again.

Both Hendrix and Jagger were already done by the breeder. But Hendrix reacted like that as well to anaesthetic when a kitten. He just went bonkers!

I'm thankful the breeder took care of Raiden as well. This is not something I want to deal with, although maybe kittens just bounce back like nothing happened! I'd be going, "are they sure they snipped him?" Give me proof! LOL

Its crazy isn't it? I work in a hospital and on our ward we take care of elective surgery. One lady had her op and then got post op delirium. She was all over the place, did not know who she was and was trying to escape. So I suppose it's the same thing. He has calmed down now. He is asleep in my jammie drawer! X

I don't believe Olly is jealous of Kiara. It's still she's the new kid on the block! And she's fun to play with. Start the process all over again, only this time it may go a little quicker. Olly and Kiara are sweet kitties and I know you've fallen in love with both of them. This HAS to work out!

Well in have been reading a really really good article on feline behaviour and body language. Now it states that when cats are truely being aggressive their pupils are tiny to protect thier eyes during a fight. Now ollys pupils are always massive so it certainly rules out aggression. He just is extremely boisterous and far to rough and sometimes kiaras ears to back and she tries to escape with her body low to the ground and this is fear. She does not do this often as she engages with play. Oliver what the dickens am I going to do with you!

Some human boys are boisterous as well. My nephew was that way when he was much, much younger. He would not stand still for a minute and his mom or dad had to constantly chase him down. He started kindergarten and was the same way so they had to deal with that. Your little Olly is a terror on wheels -- but just know he should grow out of it and it won't be nearly as bad when he turns into an adult. Having two kittens around, especially Bengals, would probably drive me up the wall. I'm hoping there is a psychiatric ward where you work -- you may need it.

Yeah he is certainly a very boisterous boy. Well they accidentally got together and where fine. He has been his normal self today and bouncing around like nothing has happened. He is a lot less
Focused on kiara today and been much calmer. Then
She wants to play and it revves him right up. She is also
Chasing him now so I feel we are on the right track.

Ok guys, here is an update that I am taking the utmost pleasure to write, I have achieved success! Olly, since being snipped, has been much calmer with kiara. I know it has nothing to do with dropping hormones levels as it's to soon, but he seems a
Changes man. He is not in any pain as he has been his normal self. Maybe his day at the vets made him appreciate what he has at home! Haha! As I write this, they are born alseep on the cat tree together and that is a first! 3 weeks of hard work, stress, the feeling of utterly helplessness and now, finally, he is learning! I am in shock, utter shock. He is still a complete madman at dusk but that's not his fault so keep them seperated.

Thank you to everyone who has put an input and yoir support has made this union possible. I would have sent her back to the breeder otherwise. You are all amazing and I really hope I can help you one day. I will still give daily update.

YAY!!!! Congratulations! Sleeping together means total and complete success! Fifi, YOU did it!!!!! Must make you extremely happy. Three weeks of this .... and now you know it was all worth it. I'm so happy we all saved Kiara from going back to the breeder when now she can have a happy home with an older brother. You did a great job, Fifi.
