My 4 year old cat love to bang his head on cardboard boxes. What should I do?

Bangs or head butts? My cat head butts everything, including cardboard boxes. I don't know that a cat can bang its head very hard (like children can do). You haven't given us very much to go on. Cardboard isn't a very hard substance. Maybe you can put a video up on YouTube and we can see more of what's going on with your kitty.

Head butting is absolutely normal and most cats do it but pressing their head into objects is not normal. If your cat is pushing it's head into the wall or any hard object it could be a sign of serious problems. An accurate description of what is going on will give us a better opportunity to help, like Sherry said a video would be great.
