Can we have cat and dog living in one house???

I have a dog in the other city. He is big but really is a softy. He's a very kind dog. Where I am right now, I have an adopted cat, Kitty. She's sweet and very active. If I live in the other city where my dog is living, there will be a meet up with him and Kitty. Is it possible to train them not to hurt each other?

Thanks guys!

Many dogs and cats get along just fine. Naturally, introductions should be monitored. Both will be curious about the other. There are thousands of videos on YouTube showing cats and dogs getting along. In the beginning, if you're going to be gone, put them in separate rooms until they've learned to be great friends.

It's very possible, we have 6 cats and 2 dogs and everyone gets along just fine. 4 of the cats will seek out the dogs for cuddles and play time.

Just take introductions slow and make sure the cat has a safe place with food, water and a litter box that the dog can not get to. We use baby gates across the bedroom doors when we're not home so the cats can go in but the dogs can not.
