Hi, I visited a cat sanctuary to adopt a cat yesterday I chose a beautiful 10 year old cat , the paperwork showed her as a Bengal but the the person running the sanctuary immediatly said that the paperwork must be wrong.
Once in the office on site at the sanctuary looked at the paperwork and she has a full Bengal pedigree and the microchip details match the scan of the cat.
I have adopted her and she is beautiful loving cat and even in the 24 hours I have had her I can tell she is extremely intelligent, she can open doors I am convinced we're closed.
She also doesn't meow but makes sounds more like an Ewok.

Is there anything different I should be doing for her than I would for any other cat.

Congratulations and thank you for rescuing this young lady, however at 10, she is considered close to a senior cat. Bengals love to climb and be high up in the air, so if you can create a space for her -- shelves on the wall, build or purchase a cat tree for her. You'll need sisal scratching posts (assuming she has her claws). She'll still want to play, so toys are in order. I've had cats for over 50 years and never had anything but a couple of toys for them. I get a bengal, and my house is turned into a cat sanctuary. Bengals are extra curious -- and you've discovered they can open drawers and doors. Provide her with a loving home and high quality food and lots of activities and she will be fine.

Mine was 3yo when I've got her....she's really shy and scary....I don't know for how long she was hiding under furniture, beds and sofa!

Thanks both, I have been and bought a few toys for her today. Hopefully they are the kind she will like.
I thought I had lost her yesterday and found her around the back of the washer. I didn't even think there was room for her to do that.she is definitely inquisitive.
The kitchen work tops seem to be her favourite place at the moment.
I am sure I am going to have fun.
