Bengals and Television

So, we have learned that Bengalkitty likes to watch other bengalkitties on YouTube. He watches with much curiosity, head cocking from side to side and then will go to investigate! Gentle pats to the screen before thoroughly inspecting front and back with an inquisitive 'mow!' as if to say 'well, where did they go?!' - we are most baffled when he comes running back to us with 'happy tail' (i.e. the base of the tail puffed up) and he starts chatting away as if to so 'well, I KNOW I saw another cat, but I can't imagine where it's gone!'.

Having never had cats that have shown the slightest bit of interest in cats on the telly, we find it a little amusing to watch (since he doesn't appear to be obviously distressed or agitated, more bemused). Does your bengal like other cats on the telly? What do you make of their behaviour?

Diesel loves to watch TV. He will sit and watch it with us, sometimes he will go and stand up and touch the screen too. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's animals or people on it though. I think it's just the movement that catches his eye.

I have seen my cats looking at the TV intently watching for long periods. They also sit in front of my key board and touch the monitor and chase the curser around. It makes it rather difficult to get any serious work done, but they are so darn cute doing it!

Raiden was interested in My Cat From Hell when the cats on the show were meowing. He couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from, however. We have a 65" flat screen TV so the cats on there are much larger than life. LOL

Indiya loves watching BBC nature programmes about everything (birds,fishes,big cats, bears etc) and ...... Mmmm.....Air crash investigations ... Lol

Last week there was a programme about pets on BBC. Jaxy showed very little interest in the animals, including some cats, until the bengal kittens came on :)

Ada and Babbage watched Pets - Wild At Heart with me last week. Babbage was fascinated by the horse and foal, Ada climbed up to the TV and managed to knock the soundbar on the floor trying to paw at the hamster.
