I have two bengals, Thor and Scarlett (brother & sister). They just turned 8 months old yesterday. They have 2 litter boxes and I just noticed that they use one SOLELY for peeing, the other one is mostly for pooping but they pee in there too. I've had cats in the past and they've never done this before. Do any of your bengals exhibit this kind of behavior?

What's most fascinating is that both of them do this, they must've agreed that this one is the designated toilet, and one is a urinal. Thoughts?

Yes my two did the same thing and BB has always done that since she was a kitten. She doesn't even pee in her poo box. She will get out and go pee in the pee box then go back into the poo box to finish her business in there they are weird creatures lol but its really fascinating to me how clean they are. I have never seen or heard of a cat doing that. My husband said my OCD rubbed off on BB.

Yikes I guess mine aren't the only ones! Bengals are unique creatures….I wish they could learn to clean up the litter box.

Each cat has its own quirks! I think this happens frequently when cats have multiple boxes to choose from. They decide what they are going to do in which box. Just be thankful they are using the litter boxes. You can read a lot of posts on here where their kitties are not!
