My bengal girl Scarlett has a water fetish! She constantly wants to splash around in her water bowl and make a huge mess. Last night she really did a great job getting it all over the kitchen. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to keep the water in the bowl when your cat is a water bowl terrorist?

Quasar only drinks from the dog's water bowl and, so, does not have his own. He likes to splash and play with his toys in this water bowl. Because it is by the dog's food bowl, it is on a large "water hog" mat from LLBean. If you have enough room to do this, this type of mat catches the water and helps prevent what would otherwise be a big mess.

Thanks for the site I looked at them. I was hoping to find a bowl that prevents them from splashing in there….my concern is that while I'm at work they will knock the water out and go thirsty for hours.

I use the Neater Feeder and it helps contain the water spills. Raiden loves to put his paw in his water, too. He's a very messy eater and it sure helps keep the food off the floor.

My kitten does this too! I had to get rid of all the vases with flowers from around the house as she was dipping her paw in and splashing the water everywhere.

Just a bowl that's heavy and the sides are angled inwards so it can't easily be tipped should help. Perhaps try a large dog bowl.

I use a large dog bowl with rubber grips on the bottom. Mine is a total brat with water too.
