My five and a half month old female has started vertical scaling a coral wall in my living room. She kept looking up at it and last weekend she climbed a few feet and jumped back down on the stone seat. But last night she came in from the patio all wound up and climbed the wall 6 or 7 feet from the ground. There is a ledge about 9 feet up and I think she wants to get up there. Hopefully she won't jump on top of the TV and try to climb the wall from there. There are small indents where the grout is between the coral slabs that she must be hanging on to. She currently has gel tips on her front nails so I don't know how she is managing to do this. I ordered a cat tower for them that will arrive this week. I was shocked when I saw her attempt this. I was hoping they would calm down as they got older but they seem to be getting more mischievous and powerful.

Oh wow I swear they have no fear at all. I don't know about the calming down or slowing down as Diesel is our first but you can tell he's always observing and looking for something to get onto or into.

Bengals love to climb and see the world from way high above us! Cat trees or shelves on a wall are a must, especially for a bengal. We were working behind our TV equipment and Raiden hopped up on top of a speaker mounted on the wall above the TV. He could not get down as there was nothing for him to jump onto that wasn't over an inch thick. How he jumped up there, I don't know. Bengals are FAST and they jump in an instant. Your wall is fascinating for your cat. Raiden also loves to climb trees outside on our walks, but I have to control how high he goes or he will disappear to the top. I'm sure once you get your cat trees, things will settle down with the coral wall.

The past few nights I hear the climbing cat's nails screeching down the painted walls like nails on a chalk board. She must be jumping up and sliding down the walls. I ordered a 5.5 cat tower, a back of door climbing post and a 80" climbing gym. The cat tower is arriving tonight and the one that attaches to the back of a door arrives on Monday. The third one will follow. None too soon. I have noticed that Thursdays are the hardest day for them. The are just fine over the weekend but it's during the week when they are alone daytime that they progressively get wound up and into trouble.
