How can i stop my 5 month old from begging for food?

does he eat whole portions you offer?
Does he lick and leave food?

Is there any food/meat he will gladly eat lots of (balanced or not) that you can work with?

With regular meals being offered (and going down) any feeling he has of there being a lack of food will be forgotten over time.

A five-month old is a growing kitty. If you're feeding him the proper amount, then he should not be hungry. He may require more frequent (and less food) feedings. Most kitties when they are full, leave the bowl and are content to groom themselves and fall asleep! Just make sure you're giving him the proper amount of food per day -- and if he wants a little more, I'd give it to him. Just like human appetites are different, so are cat's.

Thanks for your responses. He is eating everything i put down for him. He has at least four pouches of wet food per day plus his dried food. Is this enough.

Thanks for your response bengal daddy. His poo is better now and less smelly.
