I can't get Yuki to stop pooing in front of my bedroom window.

I have a total of three litterboxes now, one in the bedroom beside the window - and they get cleaned extremely often.

I clean the areas he poos, etc. - but he keeps doing it anyway.

Any suggestions?

Zeus will sometimes wee in places for no reason also. He has been neutered and his litter tray is also emptied regularly. Luckily he has not done it for a while. So perhaps it is a male thing.

If Yuki has pooed in this same spot a couple of times, it is possibly cos the scent is still there, even though to us humans it looks clean. Try plenty of disfenctant and pet deodariser and see if that works. If he can smell the scent slightly there he will possibly continue to do it.

Sometimes when cats wee out of the litter tray regulary it can be a sign of an infection, but I don't know if this goes for number two's as well.

Any chance he may be too big for the litterbox? As bright as bengals are, several of ours are so big, that they have no clue that their behinds are extending over the side of the litterbox. Consequently the "deposit" ended up on the floor instead of the box. Bigger litterboxes solved that problem.

If that is not the case, I would suggest removing the litterbox that is next to your bedroom window. Then get some Bitter Apple or other cat repellant and spray it in the area where he has been doing his business.
Apply the spray at least twice per day for several weeks or until you are convinced he won't repeat the behavior. Most of the cat repellants on the market don't smell that bad to us humans, but cats hate them.

Another thing you can try is orange peels. Place a lot of fresh orange peels in and around the area in question. Most if not all cats absolutely despise the citrus smell of oranges. Lemon peels should work equally well.

Ooooh... I'll buy some bitter apple or something tomorrow when I'm out and about - that's a great idea!

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any kind of infections - he DID have tapeworms for a while, but those seem to have cleared up, and the vet has given him a clean bill of health.

Two of the three litterboxes are pretty big, so I don't think size is a problem, and he's not pooing over the edges or anything.

When I clean the areas, I do use a cat specific disinfectant/scent remover - whatever iti's called, lol... but he DOES tend to go back to the same place again.

I'll see if the Bitter apple works - wish me luck!
