Has anyone clicker trained their Bengal? Someone on another forum I read suggested we should do that....

I tried for months to do it, but I couldn't find any treats that they like to reward them. They don't like cat treats at all. Besides, they looked at me like I was crazy during every training session. After they got used to the sound of the clicker (the first day), it was old hat to them and they weren't even curious enough to come and see it. I put the clicker away and will try again someday. The boys are maybe a little too smart.

No clicker training here, but my boy responds to finger snaps almost dog-like. i have actually thought about clicker training because he does respond to the snaps so well.
i suggest training kittens to come to _something_ as accidents do happen ....if kitty does get out someday it will be very useful to be able to provide a sound command that they respond to.
A good start is using whatever you decide at dinner or "special treat" time. Be consistant so that they associate the noise with something they truly adore.

Yes, my mum's old cat (hello mum ) used to come on command to either a box of cat biscuits/food being rattled or a particular pattern of whistling.

My family has always trained cats to come to a whistle. Even my grandfather's farm cats will come high-tailing it if they hear that special whistle. My grandfather only fed his cats soft food at night (dry through the day) but anytime he fed soft to them he would whistle before he set down the food. The cats correlated that whistle with the food. Now that they correlate it, he can whistle to bring them in from the fields and lock them up in the cat house at night (to make sure night time critters don't attack them). Since then I have applied this with my indoor cats and it works nicely. They also respond the same way with just a shake of the pounce treats can.

My dads cat must be well trained. She just has to be called and she comes running, she obviously knows here name well.

Then again there are not many cats with the name "Siskin"

I saw a book on cat clicker training. Think I may buy it and give it a go.

Although saying that the only clickers i have seen for sale are ones for dogs, can you use the same one?

We have bought a Cat training book and I'm gonna get a clicker at the weekend. So am gonna give it a go. Will keep you updated on how it goes, once we get our kitties.

My kitten responds to 'who wants some chicken?' They both love poached chicken breast meat which I cook every couple of days. I give it to them at the same time each day.

I've taught him how to sit. What else can I teach him?

The book Siobhan mentions above has them doing all sorts of things, like shaking a paw, rolling over, kissing etc
