Hestia has started some quite strange behaviour, where she scratches at the cat biscuits in the biscuit bowl, as cats do when covering the do da's in the litter tray. This means that all the biscuits then end up on the floor and not in the bowl.

Any ideas why she is doing this. She has only started doing it in the last week?

Evvie does a very similar thing except she scratches around the bowl rather than in it. I?ve been told that it?s due to their ?wild? ancestry, in the wild once a cat has eaten all that it can it will try to hide any remaining food to cover up the scent preventing other animals from finding and eating it. Maybe with Hestia starting to become more mature the instinct is starting to kick in. Not sure how you would stop her from doing it but if you succeed, let me know.
