Bengals - mirrors to the soul!

Sounds like we're quite lucky with Gus! We actually looked at Bengals because of their lower allergy risk. Gus's got the super soft pelt-type coat and hardly sheds a thing. Even after a bath in prep for a show, we rarely have more than about 10 strands of hair on his brush. I wasn't allergic to his mother or father, so figured we'd be pretty safe with him. One of the other kittens though (a stud boy the breeder had bought from another breeder only a few days before Gus was born) set me off something terrible - he has more of a domestic coat, is this likely to have anything to do with it?

I just got on this site to see why my kitten is shedding so much. hes about 7 months old now and i just picked him up and i swear had a cat shaped print on my black pants. its A LOT of fur but its healthy and soft and theres no patches. Hes also a snow so now im wondering if that has something to do with it....

I just got 2 nine month old bengals. They both didn't shed at all at the breeder or for a week after. They are shedding a little now though. I don't give them the same vitamins as the breeder but I do feed them the same thing, raw with a little vitamins. I'm going to add the same vitamin mix now and see if it makes a difference in shedding. They still shed a lot less than my Siamese cats did in the past.

Kai is 6 months old and barely sheds at all. He sheds ALOT when he gets suddenly stressed out, and it lasts as long as the stress so if he calms down immediately he stops shedding immediately.
However, I've noticed as its warming up he seems to be shedding a bit more. And by a "bit more", i mean still barely at all. I wouldn't mind if he shed once a year if it meant he was an almost non-shedder the rest of the year :) Its such a joy!!
