Which one did you have? The first design where you had to turn a wheel isn't very good but the next version is much simpler (you just open a trap door and drop the litter in). I wouldn't be without mine now.

I had one of those and although it worked OK, it was a bit fiddly turning the wheel (especially with more "solid" matter!) and it's quite wasteful on the plastic bags because it uses a whole turn of bag each time. The newer version is much simpler - basically just a tall box which you drop the waste into, pulling a little trap door as you do it. The trap door then closes again and keeps the smells in. I'm sure it's probably more expensive to use than scented bags but somehow I've never liked putting those into my domestic waste bin. The Litterlocker II is very simple and effective. My only complaint is that the litter scoop they provide is wider than the opening for the box which seems a little stupid as you can spill loose litter. Easy enough to get a different scoop though.

I have one of the older litter lockers and I love it! When I was in my townhouse the litter box was on the second floor and at the back of the lawn so it was really inconvenient to take it out every day.

Now I live in a house and still use it - it's spoiled me! I've never had a problem with flies being attracted to it, or the plastic ripping. My sister did make fun of me getting a "Diaper Genie" for my cat, but if her teasing me ever stopped me from doing anything I wouldn't get much done!

I've had a litter locker for a while aswell and would also recommend it.....far easier than having to empty it outside each day..
