DIY wand toys

I make my own wand toys out of supplies from the craft store. They are actually VERY cheap to make. Id say mine probably cost at the most $3 to make and at the cheapest $1. I already had some supplies so I only payed $1.50 to make all 3 of these. I also use wooden wands instead of the plastic that they sell at most places and Sabre seems to enjoy chewing on the wood as well as attacking the rest of the toy.

At the end of the wands where feathers or fleece or boa is attached I use hot glue and lots of it, then glue over it a thick piece of ribbon that feels similar to shoe lace string. It has held up so far, I cant even break the feathers off, though I am sure at some point they will be chewed off by Sabre, lol.

Curious to know whose Bengal likes to play tug-o-war with the wand toy? Usually I just let go after a while and then the whole toy gets dragged off somewhere. Yesterday I held onto the wand end and couldn't believe the force being exerted on it :shock:

. That is until the cord pulled from the wand which was very securely fastened to. Oh well, an easy fix.

Sabre22, your wand creations are pretty sweet! Definitely on par with anything on the retail market.
