been to vets today just for Benga's last jab and a microchip

he is 14wks now and weighs 1.7kg and the vet said he is very healthy all good. anyway i need to insure him asap and have been advised petplan but the quote is £16.37a month for lifelong cover and as i am going to get my new baby boy bengal in a few weeks i will also need to add him to the policy and 30 plus pounds a month seems alot

both the boys will be neutered around 5 mts old so no breeding or showing as these are spoilt pets

but i have looked around and don't seem to find policies that cover for ongoing conditions god forbid they should suffer some nasty

advice needed please :!:

My Oscar is only £14 a month with Petplans best policy which I think is supercat. When I had Mystie (who is still missing) I was quoted £13 to have her added to Oscar's policy bringing the total to £27. I'd say that was well worth it for peace of mind. Petpals is supposed to be good as well but I really do prefer a company that is number 1 in the UK and trustworthy.

I'm afraid PetPlan is the best around for cover for your money. We use them as well. They have been very good to us. The £30 isn't for very long and you can discuss things with them regularly. your premium will drop the following year and then you can also discuss your excess with them to lower your monthly payments. but you will have to speak to them about this personally.

That sounds interesting, so as the access is £80 I can up it to £100 and have lower monthly payments. Cool!

hmmmm, not quite sure. My yearly policy is £203.55 so works out at £18.50 per month and that's with Multicat discount! Coverplan is Supercat with excess of £80. Does the original price of the cat make a difference maybe ??

Kara & Khan are covered by Tesco - I have submitted one claim (due to ongoing upset tummies) Premium is £14.87 p/month for the two, excess is £50.00 per illness - they paid out less excesses recently very quickly and without any hassle - no foods are covered and I am sure there are other restrictions (such as dental mentioned prev that I was unaware of) but so far am very happy with them :!:
