OMG she reminds me of my Kiki. Kiki was a rescue also, I got her from the streets. She will freak out if I'm gone for the night. I had my mom watch after her when I left for a few days and she cried the whole time and started to spray. She stopped the spraying when I came home. I was shocked to hear that she was spraying as she never did it before. She is fixed and had her for over 6 years and never had the issue. I tired that plug-in thing for stress and it never worked on her. Now that I moved out of my moms house, she still hasn't got used to it (we moved last Nov. 1st). She now lives under the bed. She comes out only to sleep on me. I hope Jessie is not as bad as Kiki. If she is as shy as Kiki is, she might not take it too well. Kiki doesn't do well with other cats or any other pet at that. I think bringing some cats bedding is a good idea, will help them adjust to the smell. Also a feliway diffuser isn't a bad idea, doesn't work for all cats but it might help. Plug it in the room where she will be staying. Also bring some clothes/bedding that belongs to your daughter, her scent will help keep jesse calm.

Aw thankyou for your replies. I will do my best & i know you lot are always here for a bit of support. My OH is great with cats too, he has done voluntary work for Cats Protection before we met & ended up rescueing 7!!!!! So at least i know he will help out too.
