Long time reader, first post!

We have had our Bengal, Myah, for 7 months. We have got her full pedigree and everything but she isn't registered.

Would someone be able to give me some advice on getting her registered please?

We received no information from the breeder in relation to breeding / showing Myah and also no advice on getting her registered.

She has recently come into season - what a noise she makes!! it has been incessant since last Thursday - all day and night. We have had little sleep for 6 days... Would someone be able to tell me how long it lasts and also any tips on how we could perhaps calm her down a bit?

Was she sold to you as a breeding queen? You say you have her pedigree, were her parents registered?

we were not told in any circumstances whether she was a breeding queen or not. Her parents were registered

Hi and welcome

I assume that you bought Myah as a pet, in which case I would book her in for neutering ASAP as she could start marking her territory by inappropriate peeing and/or spraying.

Contact the breeder and let them know when Myah has been neutered. They should then provide you with her registration slip.

My Dolly has a pedigree name but wasn't actually registered - its seems that some breeders don't do the registrations for pets.

We got our kittens neutered recently and the normal procedure is to send a copy of the vets receipt to the breeder, in return you will receive a pink slip it will be signed by your breeder, you sign the other side and send it off with £10 to either GCCF or TICA not sure the price, they will then register your kitten to you ie, change of ownership, you kitten will have already been registered with either one of the above.

Mitzy had a 'heat' and yes very loud 24/7 we got no sleep at all, I really felt her pain...it lasted about a week and a half, you should see your kitten settle in a couple of days.

Do you really need the info if she is just a pet anyway? You can have her spayed soon itll really help her health!

There is agood pedigree site of finding cats peds Ill look up the name of it if you want?

Id just contact them and ask them, maybe they didnt bother? Or maybe it isnt real? I dont know!

Hi All,
Someone kindly notified me that one of my cats Amigamia Tigerlily has not been neutered as agreed and now has been bred from. I am devastated as we always try to choose our kitten owners well and this lady has deceived me. Obviously the new owner of Myah is not to blame but she will not be able to get registered and should be neutered. I am happy to give any advice and help I can. I imagine the boy either is not a true Bengal or is on the inactive register. Today I have resolved to seriously look into early neutering though I imagine I will not be able to get Tigerlily back...she paid £200 for her as a special price!! and also will not be able to persuade the lady to neuter her...any ideas? As she was a pet there was not a proper witnessed contract...food for thought.
