Yes that is what I am doing.

I have opened the other bag of Orijen and it smells as it should - the other one has hardly any odour to it. So I am mixing it a little at a time with the Almo Nature which he is on at the moment.

The only other thing I thought of is I introduced Yumega suppliment the other day, would that cause any sickness?

Alrighty, let me start by asking what color is your bengal?

I'm not as familiar with showing the other colors as I am with silver, but I can impart you with what I know about prepping my cats for show.

Bathing and shampooing your bengal can make a HUGE difference. Though I'm still perfecting what works best with my cats and their coat types, it's a good idea to give your show kitties a bath two to three days before the show to allow their natural oils to return to normal levels. But shampooing also plays an important part. A lot of breeders in my region are using human color treatment shampoos like Clairol's Shimmering Lights for Blonde and Red hair types. These types of shampoos can intensify the natural coloring of the coats. But leaving the shampoo in their coats or not cleaning them thoroughly afterward can lead to (in silver cases) a purple undertone to their coats.

What I personally have changed over to is actually a brand of dog hair care products. Christopher Christensen works great for me. I would recommend getting one of their sample kits to work with first as it contains two shampoos a conditioner as well as a finishing spray.

Start with "clean start" shampoo and switch over to (depending on the color) white on white, red on red, gold on gold, which will intensify colors and SOFTEN the coat, after that switch over to the after bath conditioner to remove residual chemicals you may have missed. After that dry them off with a towel or one of those pressured cold air dryers (most pet stores that allow self grooming have them). Once their hair is sufficiently dry (but not completely) spray Ice on Ice which is a finishing spray/leave in conditioner which will further soften the coat.

After that it's deshedding time! I use a FURminator deshedding tool to remove loose hairs. As it's a very fine comb it really works well at getting the undercoat where other brushes fail. After that just make sure they don't get dirty before the show!

As for tools for the show hall, be sure to bring some Ice on Ice, and if you can afford one, the christopher christensen boar hair/brass ionic finishing brush adds so much life to their coat, a chamois/chamois glove (normal chamois you can buy at an automotive store rather cheaply, and cut to the size you like). The rest I'm sure you can figure out!

Fortunately he is a silver so all your advice is very useful.

I have to say I have only bathed him once - and used baby shampoo, as it was an emergency bath. I never really thought about doing it more often.
I will have to have a look round for some of the shampoos you listed - are they all available here in the UK?
