Some developments:

Last night and tonight she seems to be more in line with my sleep pattern, she stayed up this morning until around 10am, went to bed then got up around 12.30, strolled into the study and frightened the life out of me. Unfortunately with me jumping, she ran off back under the covers.

She then got up at 5pm this afternoon, much earlier than the last two nights.

However, last night she only came downstairs once.

Today she does not want to seem to come downstairs at all.

I guess this is all part of the process?

Also, she is rolling around on the floor and rubbing herself a lot and dragging herself along. Could this be a sign of fleas or just her playfulness?

The best way to check for fleas is with a flea/nit comb. If you get small black dots when you comb it through its flea poo. You can sometimes see it if you lift the fur up to look at it's roots too.

Rolling around on the floor can be a sign of playfulness and scent marking. I think usually with fleas you might see her scratching herself with her back legs too.
