I think thats wise Tally. I know some breeders do neuture first but as Bundles said it depends on if your vet will do this. Hopefully in a few years all vets will neuture early.

I may be about to sound very dim here (sorry if I do!), but surely anyone who has the pink slip can get a certified copy of the pedigree anyway? Ok, you have to pay £35 for it, but thats not much of a deterrent to a BYB surely?

I do like the concept of having cats neutered before collection, but again, your BYB won't do that either, and I would have thought there is then a greater risk of inbreeding if the gene pool becomes thinner on the ground.
