Brian Why cringe? Both dogs and cats are wonderful creatures, although I adore cats and tolerate doggo's for the most part. I take comments that a cat or breed of cat is dog-like to neither be a compliment nor an insult, simply an observation that they are different from the average feline. That they may be an extraordinary oxymoron.
Oberon chews on rubber toys and rubber Croc shoes... like a dog.. and unlike most cats. Oberon likes to be thumped on the side... like a dog,, and harder than most cats. Oberon comes when called... like a dog... and like no other cat that I know. Oberon will growl and pull on a fishing toy,,, like a dog playing tug of war. He has only recently learned to release the toy like other cats. Oberon rushes to protect me from perceived danger... like a dog and like no other cat that I have owned.
Oberon also purrs, makes biscuits, head bumps, loves chin and ears scratched, tummy rubbed and uses litter boxes (and the toilet) ... unlike most dogs.
I haven't gotten to know TangTang well enough to know his quirks and idiosyncrasies, but I suspect that he plays fetch from what I have been told.
