A little advice please....
Our little bengal is outstanding in every way, now 11 months old.....sticks to me like glue,
who said man's best friend is a dog....
trouble is he just can't get on with the wife...so much so that we may have to let him go.....this would be very sad,to say the least..[after 8 months]
He simply stalks and attacks the wife...all the time,just the wife nobody else.
We have tried so many things, but with no luck.
You guys know i love this begal and it would break my heart to see him go.....so i need your help here.
before it's too late.

not sure what to suggest really, 8 months is a long time for him to have still not settled with her.
the only thing i can think is to have her feed him his meals & when he does have a good moment with her, such as play time, to get her to give him treats, so he associates her with good things. also when he settles for a nap, that's the best time for her to stroke him gently & gain his love.
when he attacks, both of you ignore him & put him in a seperate room for time out for 10 mins.
not a lot of help, but it may work

Done all those things........time out,everything we can think of....
8 months is a long time...show's you how much the wife and i love the bengal and how much time we have for him....but it doesn't change things....inside our home he stalks and attacks her....our friends can not believe what they are seeing....and how long we have tried our best to deal with this slight problem.......with no luck.
outside is a different story...keeps us both in his line of vision....
no problem,won't stray far away...back by our sides...

He attacks your wife because he doesn't respect her, just like in dealing with dogs, you have to be the leader and he needs to know his place otherwise he will dominate you.

Your wife obviously shows him body language, voice etc. that shows him he can dominate her, you are not giving off that signals so he knows better than to attack you.

He might even be slightly jealous of her. She needs to be more assertive around him. He is having a great time playing with your wife, it is unfortunate she doesn't see it that way and probably the more scared she gets the more she flaps about and the more fun he is having.

Sounds exactly right.....the water bottle didn't work,
he didn't like being sprayed true, bit through the bottle....so the water ran out!!!!!!cheeky little devil.
thats why we love him.
but he saw that as a minor game......
The wife knows dogs very well,she has looked after 12 bernese mountain dogs in her past....which i would not do!!!!
thats a full blooded pack of dogs, but with no fear.
so this little chap would seem like no task at all......but he is.

I know I shouldn't say that but I have visions of a killer cat prowling round your wife in circles then pouncing, leaving her unable to defend herself...And the fact that it's a cuddly bengal adds to the hilarity...I don't suppose you have a photo of him do you?
