A Bengal was my first cat too, I just read lots of books & knew that Bengals were the only cat for me.

Sorry you lost one of your dogs it's always hard.

I had my dog for 14 years before we got our two bengal kittens in January. When they first arrived there was a bit of settling in time (on both sides ) but they all soon became firm friends.

Unfortunately we lost Willow to cancer last month, just a couple of months short of her 15th birthday, Having Neo and Mojito really helped me get through a tough time and they are without doubt the most awesome cats ever

Just be prepared for a bit of settling in time with your dog, not sure how old the kitten was that you found but you won't get your bengal until it's 13 weeks old so it may be a bit older?

I would say yes BUT Bengals more than most cats i know like to play fight, jumping on the backs of there playmate trying to wrestle them over even when they have been warned not to. So if you think your akita will put up with that then go for it, but please never leave them alone unsupervised if she is not used to cats properly as if a bengal decides she is going to push your patience then you may return to a mess.

At the same time bengals are very loving and intelligent so may get on fine, you could even take them both for a walk on the lead.
