Been following this post. I am so very sorry about Max  It is very respectable of you to donate his remains to research. Every cat owner owes you a big thanks. Hopefully there will be a cure for this in the near future. Max is not in pain or discomfort anymore, and is playing happily at the Rainbow Bridge. Give Millie lots of hugs and kisses, and let her cuddle as much as she wants with the blanket. It is probably her sense of security right now. Take care of yourself too.

RIP little Max......

I can't tell you how very sorry I am... Absolutely gutted here...

I wouldn't be surprised if many on here feel the same, but this really feels intensely personal and like I have really travelled the path with you guys from the intense joy of adding your beautiful bengals to your family through to this devastation... Am in tears for you all... I feel the same for slickable =(

I commend you for your decision to lets your loss be of value to the fight against FIP. That would be a tremendously difficult choice to make - I don't know if I could be so strong.

I really hope that Millie recovers well from her flu and brings you as much love, laughter and joy as Linden constantly brings to me...

I need to go and hug Linden now =\ Your story has been a constant reminder of just how lucky I am.

Re the donation address at the end of the FIP article, didn't Lance say that Dr Addie is no longer at Glasgow Uni?

I did. It's a confusing picture actually. Dr Addie is now an honarary fellow at Glasgow University, but works herself from her base in France. I do believe that work is still carried out at Glasgow though, and Max has gone there. I spoke to the vets this morning and they did say they had contacted Glasgow first, so it might be best to contact Glasgow either via your vet or via the Glasgow University faculty at the following link:

I'm so, so saddened to hear that poor little Max didn't make it.
How awful. At least he is free from pain now...not that it makes dealing with the loss of a precious kitty any easier, but it's a small comfort. :(
He had a wonderful home and he was loved so very much - that is obvious. My thoughts are with you all. x

I hope that Millie continues to get better and i have everything crossed that she will be ok and will bring you much happiness and comfort. :?

RIP dear little Max - go play with all our other loved and lost fur-friends over the Rainbow Bridge. xxx

How sad!!! All my prayers are with you! I dare not think what you have to get through and I'm sincerly sorry to hear about Max...
He had a life full of love and care, and at the end, compassion.
RIP Max, play well on Rainbow Bridge!

I'm so sorry to hear this :(.

Didn't really follow the thread (got plenty of work these days) but I did a little catch up and I can tell you you did everything you could and that you made the right choice :(.

Spoil Millie rotten, it helps...
