I'm going to be rescuing this handsome fellow from a rescue agency. He used to belong to a breeder, but she got sick and couldn't keep him anymore, so she placed him with the agency. I was speaking to the lady who runs the agency and she said that though she'd been supposed to be given his papers, it had never actually happened.

Since he's an F3, I couldn't show him even if I wanted to, and I'm planning to have him neutered right away so he wouldn't be breeding even if he wasn't sterile, but it would still be nice to have the papers. Is there some central registry I can talk to, or some other way I can get copies of them?

hi there,

have you tried to contact the actual breeder? if you know his registered name, or even better his registration number, you may be able to get a copy of his pedigree from TICA, but i think only the breeder/registered owner would be able to get a registration certificate.

Yes, only the breeder can get papers from the TICA.
