Hi there...

I'm looking to get a couple of pet bengal kittens.

I'm in the North West of England and I guess I'm just after some general advice on where to start. I've met a couple of Bengals at the Merseyside cat show, so I'm now sure that they're the cats for me.

Any hint, tips, info etc greatly appreciated.

Jon

hi there, welcome to the forum. :D

the best advice i can give is to read as much as you can...there's plenty on this forum if you have a good search through.
ask any questions you want which you can't find the answers too, then get yourself out to a couple of different breeders to meet their cats in a home environment & take as much time as you need to find out all you want to know.

don't rush into a purchase until you're happy, it'll be no good for you or the kittens unless you're prepared.

lastly, good luck! we'll happily help you along the way :D

Make sure you know what you're taking on and then go for it :D :D

I broke all the "rules" and got my two Bengals 24 hours after seeing them on a rescue website, having known nothing about Bengals before (although I was an experienced cat owner). I've never regretted it for a moment. They're the most lovable, gorgeous, playful, mischievous, frustrating and rewarding companions I could ever have wished for. I don't think it's the best way to go about it so I would advise you to do a bit more research than I did and definitely visit a couple of breeders first (there are several around Merseyside) but ultimately, if your house and lifestyle are suitable and you know what you're letting yourself in for, then go for it.
