If U.S. Fish and Wildlife says you need something, it doesn't matter what the other side says. Do it anyway. It's better to have extra paperwork than the wrong paperwork as the US will take your cat and you won't get it back. I don't know what they do with them -- probably euthanize them. This is a strong point with the breeders in Europe who are having bengals confiscated.

Yes I agree, did not want to mess up. We had an official come to the airport to see that cats were who we said they were too. Best to have paperwork in order. Also, prior to organising stuff with the company we were ship them with, we were getting quotes from another company who did not offer paperwork and did not know all the ins and outs of importing Bengals. Make sure you get the right advice as you can lose a beloved pet if paperwork is not in order.
