Hi all,

Quick question and I may be worrying needlessly but my new kitten Erwin has been home with us for over 24 hours and doesn't seem to want to go to the litter tray! I've checked all around the rooms and can see no evidence of accidents so I have to assume he's holding it in :(

Is this a common trait with new kittens? On all other accounts he seems quite settled. He's eating well and playing like the typical Bengal nutcase we expect. Any suggestions? Just to note - using the same litter as the breeder and the tray is nowhere near his feeding area!

Cheers for any advice or words of calming wisdom

Si

Phew! All sorted now!

After all that drama, Erwin FINALLY remembered what the litter tray was for! 2 days of pent up poo in one session. Peewww!

Joking aside, I'm so relieved at this although I really do think that new Bengal owners go more insane that their little charges... The medical scenarios running through my mind in the last 24 hours have been increasingly bizarre...

Ah well, shows I care I guess!

Glad to hear little Erwin has done his business. Unfortunately this won't be the last time you find yourself peering into his litter tray and either celebrating madly or investigating the detail rather too closely

Hope you're enjoying having him around.

Just a warning even though mine uses the box usually she does like to sneak into the potted tree that we have. I'm sure if my other plants where down where she could get into them as well.
