I'm hoping someone will have a little insight for me. I got my sweet baby Bengal girl last month  she is a doll! I was told she was still going through the "fuzzy" stage when we picked her up and it would clear up by about 16 weeks. She is now a little over 16 weeks and she still seems to have a lot of darker hairs down her back and throughout her back legs that obscures her pattern. I tried to do a little research online and came across Bengals with "patina" but not a whole lot of details on it. I am quite curious if it could be that and not the "fuzzies" after all. Of course this doesn't change how much I love her but I am quite curious. Anyone have a similar experience with the "fuzzies" or "patina" development?

You didn't attach any pictures for us to look at. I'm not that familiar with the fuzzies or patina, but the best website I've found that describes all the markings of a bengal is this one: http://www.kingsmarkfarms.com/bengals/kingpattern.htm

I do believe the "fuzzies" are all over the cat and patina is in the shoulder/back area. You aren't going to see a drastic change in the kitty from day to day. It's possible the 16 weeks was just a generalization and it may take a little longer. Most owners are taking a lot of pictures of their new kitties -- and if you do, you can compare them over time.

Thank you for the link! I'll check out that website. I was having some trouble resizing and attaching a picture but I finally figured it out.

I'm not seeing any patina from that picture. What I see are more the fuzzies in the rosettes. Your kitty is gorgeous with great contrast in the pelt. It almost looks glittery. You'll see changes in the pelt for a while .... post another picture in a month and I'm sure we'll see a big difference.
