Hi :)
I've recently adopted a retired breeder and I've been keeping her in her own room. I've brought her out in her carrier so she can see the dog and the two kittens I have. She's been getting along best with the youngest kitten (Nem). Anyways I opened the door to her room so she could explore and Nem ran into her room. He came in the room and they both moved up to each other and sniffed each other then Nem stuck out his paw to sniff and then he stuck out his paw again like he wanted to play with her but she just sat in her carrier. Anyways he came in again and then he decided to explore her carrier, she came up to him and sniffed him and then she raised her paw (didn't hiss, growl, puff up and her ears were forward) and when he left her box she slapped him. So I'm wondering whether shes just playing with him or she's telling him not to get in her carrier? (I've stopped him from going into her room because thats her safe place)

Hi there,
congratulations on your new addition..
it will take a few weeks for the animals to all accept each other so take things slow..
your new cat will be very wary of the other animals and may fight out of fear..
introduce them one at a time so as not to overwhelm you newby..

let the new cat explore your house with the others but keep them supervised at all times..

feed them together & play with them together..
It took mine nearly 3 weeks so dont expect miracles..
good luck..

Hi :)
Thanks for the advice :D
Fame has settled in really well. She loves exploring the house and checking up on everyone and will walk by the other cats without a problem. She still hisses if Nem runs upto her to play which makes sense, I wouldn't be happy if someone I didn't know was galloping upto me lol. Can't believe how much progress shes made and how quickly.
