first thanks for being here for people like me and my wife so we can ask questions.
well here's what i need help with we have 4 cat's 2 orange tabby's and 1 3/4 bengal and a six toed calico
today we bought a 2 year old male bengal when we brought him home he didn't like the other cats at all we have had to seperate them into different rooms.
how long if at all should i keep them apart the male bengal is very aggressive as far as we can tell one of our orange tabby's is elderly and i don't want him hurt the other orange tabby is declawed and the 3/4 bengal is also aggressive female calico is in a world of her own lol so i think she will be ok eventually
what should we do to make the peace in our home

thanks in advance

Hi there & welcome to bengal madness... or cat chaos whichever way you see it
I presume your cats are all neutered?(males show more aggression if they are entire)
It took mine approx 15 days to 'love' each other.. ( they all hated each other for at least 5 days)
You may struggle more with the older ones but they should at least tolerate one another..
if your at home each day.. let them interact with each other, .. eventually they will have a pecking order..
feed them together & play with them together.. etc
fingers crossed they will all settle down eventually...
:D

you may have a problem with the boys trying to stake their claim on her, even though the boys are done.

see how it goes with gradual introductions, it usually takes a while for them to get used to each other, but it may be worth considering getting your girl neutered.

Ugh... I hate vets that recommend that, when they certainly know what is involved. :P

i feel your pain. we are having the same issues with a stray 1 1/2 yr old Snow Marble Bengal we have taken in and rescued. It's been about 7 weeks now and we're thinking we need to find him a new home. :(

tis either that or our timid girls will be very unhappy for a long time. :?
