Are laser pens bad for cats? I have used one a couple of times with my cat and he loves it (great for burning all that energy) but I have heard a couple of people say that it send them a bit mad because they can't actually catch anything.

What do you think?

Well I don't let my Bengals catch their feather wand toys, and they are no madder than they have always been!

Actually, the laser toys are very good for cats with balance problems as it helps their coordination.

Mine just love it.

When they're under the bed and I want them to get out, I just have to catch the laser, the little noise it makes (it's on a keyring) is enough to get them out

I play with it every other day or so and they don't seem mad...

Jupiter loves the laser pointer. She also just has to hear the jingling of the key chain and she is ready to search for and chase the little red light. She hasn't gotten bored with it yet. I have heard that you should avoid shining the light in their eyes.

Havn't bought a laserpointer, becuase i heard the same about the damager to the eyes. But i guess i have to. Havn't heard of any with blind cats at least
Certanly hope she'll go nuts. I would like to have something she would be more crazy about hunting
