Nina has recently had her yearly check. She weighed 4.03kg and has gone up from 3.65kg from last year. She is now 3 and a half years old. Kalinda already weighs just over 4kg and both times the vet warned me I should watch their weight.
They do not look overweight, Kalinda is small with tubby legs and looks a tad chubby but Nini is very graceful and long. I asked the breeder and they told me they are fine. They were at my house recently and didn't seem worried.
I don't keep food down all the time, they don't get what they want and have a healthy diet (mix of raw chicken and grain free fish with small amount of dry food in toy dispensers)

How much does your bengal weigh? Is the vet right?

That's actually a "normal" size/weight for a female. Im not sure where your vet is coming from, my own personal belief is its not about the weight but more about condition. If they are not chubby or thin, they are fine! My boy is a chubby butt at 13 pounds and my girl is right where your kitties are.

Weight alone though won't really tell you much. One cat could be 9lbs and be grossly overweight, and another could be 9lbs and grossly underweight. You really need to go by body shape, fat, and all that. Same with people right?

I would probably take what your vet is telling you at face value. Or if you think he's wrong get a second opinion. Maybe you just need to reduce the amount you are feeding by a small amount? If you want to get others opinions here on the forum, I think what you need are photos of your cat from above, showing the contours of the body. That's the most telling view. Other measures are useful also, like how prominent are the rib bones of your cat? Can you see them? Or can you feel them with a very light touch?

Raiden weighs 14 pounds, that's about all I know. Where are those pictures of a bengal where you can tell whether they are too thin or too fat?

Thanks guys. Great advice. I think Kalinda is smaller and shorter and does look slightly chubby. She hoards food too, and I try to let them eat and supervise but Nini seems to be a grazer so can lose out a bit. Nini is more graceful and long, probably ideal on the body chart. I might take some photos when I catch them and post it so you can see, don't have any that would show it properly to compare. But the point made that one cat can be obese at the same weight as another who isn't is kinda right as they both weight the same now and Kalinda is looking a bit chubby but Nini isn't. Will be back with photos

Attie (female) is 10lbs at one year, and a bit on the thin side. She's a big female but I think she'll probably top out around 12lbs.

It's all about the fat covering over the ribs....the above diagram posted is Purrfect.....don't go by numbers go by the cat itself

The diagram that jodonut99 posted is what i always use to judge my boys, it's really helpful :) Numbers really don't mean anything, it's about how the cat looks.

Both of my boys weigh about 5.5kg. One is nearly 2 and a half years old and the other is just over a year old. The younger one looks quite slight and is a little taller compared to my older boy who is much more muscley around his chest, neck and front legs. I'm actually waiting to see whether the younger one will suddenly fill out like Diego did at about 1.5 years or whether he is going to stay slim...

Despite these differences in appearance both look lean overall despite being in the upper end of the weight bracket that my vet uses. She always says that they are in perfect condition and even if they got heavier on the scale if they stayed the same in terms of muscle to fat ratio then she wouldn't worry at all.
