Hi all,
My new kitten arrives soon and I'm in the proves of cat proofing the house-any tips would be really appreciated!

Are there any day to day cleaning products you shouldn't use? Ones which are harmful wet or try?
Currently I use the normal sprays dettol and. Flash Etc and flash floor cleaner (laminate) is there anything I should consider or change?
Thanks

I got a cat safe disinfectant from my local Pets at Home store and i use that for cleaning any nasty messes.

I tend to steam clean my floors so that doesn't use any products and I use natural leaning products as i have granite worktops.
For bathrooms I do use quite smelly and tough toxic products so i always make sure to rinse the surfaces and keep the cats away when i am cleaning.

Dettol, pine products and any with phenol in them are highly toxic to cats. Safer to use a specialist cat product.
