What brands make good, solid harnesses for cats? Preferably that are somewhat attractive, too....

I've been looking on amazon but I'm not sure if those harnesses are just for dogs or if the small size will fit a cat. Any advice?

Try a pet store. Any pet store I have ever been to including my vet sells them. I am in the US and bought mine at Petsmart. They had every type and color.

Happy House Cats do harnesses to measure. I bought mine when it was run by the original owner and they are great. I have not seen the ones by the new owner but have bought other items from her and they have been great too.

There is lots of choice in colour and designs and they are reversable so you can pick your jacket depening on your mood! Just need fleece lined ones for the winter now as my Chilli is being a wuss!

Another vote for Happy House Cats. I recently purchased Alex a new jacket and it's great.

I bought a figure 8 cat harness at Petco and a figure H cat harness through Amazon. Both fit my Bengal just fine and are adjustable. He is unable to wiggle out of either of them. But, he does not mind wearing the harness and loves his daily walks, so I don't have a problem with them.

Here on the Bengal cat forum Happy House Cat is HIGHLY recommended, the company has changed owners recently but she even made an account on here to let everyone know the quality will remain intact as they are made te same! You will be able to pick your options an as you can see Fenstar's lovely Alex has his manly name to sport around  couldn't get any better IMO!!

I LOVE the Happy House Cat ones!! What I like is how sturdy they look. My issue with the pet store harnesses is that they dont look too comfortable......I'm sure they are fine, but I am picky :)

Thanks for all the advice!

From what i have read on this forum, i would totally recommend the Happy House Cats jackets! If you do a search on them you will find some really helpful information and a lot of good reviews.

I have also had a look and have found a company called Mynwood Cat Jackets who also do something very similar to happy house cats, and they are both quite attractive.

I have been using the figure H harness on both of my Bengals but i am not totally satisfied that they cannot slip them or wouldn't hang themselves in times of distress so i am looking into ordering them walking jackets before i continue with their leash training
