I've had 2 cats that were
cable biters, including Neytiri. She bit through a couple of USB cables and a macbook power cord. It really didn't occur to me to be angry with her though, I was just terrified that she would bite through something that would electrocute her, and if that happened it would be my fault not hers.
I *think* I've cured her. At least I haven't seen her attempt it in several months. I did two things:
1. I tried to prevent her from being able to bite cables as best as I can. I bought
covers like these:
http://www.cableorganizer.com/wire-loom ... L075-15-PKThey are kind of a pain to use, but she can't bite through them, and doesn't seem to want to even try.
2. I tried to discourage her from wanting to bite cables by making them unpleasant to bite.
So I coated the exposed cords that she previously had been wanting to bite/chew with stuff like this:
