We have started walking our 18 month old tinkerbell and need some suggestions to make it more fun for her and us. Sometimes she walks really well but other times she pulls and if we go with her she ends going round in circles.

If you have just started walking your kitty, then this is completely new to her. Everything outdoors is strange. Just let her go at her own pace right now and she will, over time, expand her walking area. In the beginning, Raiden and I just walked around our yard, completely around the house several times, laid in the driveway, in the grass. Then he started heading toward the road and we walked around the cul-de-sac. Now he walks down the street, down a side street. Sometimes he wants to walk to the park at the corner. He leads and I follow, unless I am forced to pick him up to keep him out of traffic. It's a slow process, but I'm sure she's enjoying your walks -- it's just not as exciting to you. But give it some time and she will head out farther and farther each time. It's a big scary world out there.

Thank you for your suggestions. We dont have a garden so have taken Tinkerbel to the beach. She was doing well until one night we were walking from the beach to the common and she spied rabbits. Since then when we have took her down to the beach she has just pulled to go back to the rabbits. Tonight we decided to take your advise and we just walked on the common. She didn't pull and was happy. Thanks again.
