So many flavors I bet he would love the peanut butter! He tries to snatch it away from the kids when they have it! I will talk to the vet and see if I can get those! It will make things much easier! Although for the last couple of doses he hasn't flipped and flopped around, he willingly sit there and verbally protest! Maybe he is getting the point!

I have actually had both of the cats tested
For TF via PCR! That's te only way the vet would do it! I guess I am just questioning test now because I have been back and forth to vets for months with Jasper and had several fecal test and everything was always fine! I just chalked all of symptoms up to food related problems! I have had him on the best I could purchase and he still had problems even with raw his poo was still soft! It just amazes me that my girl was clear for everything! It also worries me too that he was normal for the first two weeks that we had him! Could the stress of rehoming caused to symptoms toCome back or did he get all of it here? BB has been on revolution since we have had her and its supposed to protect against most of it!

Regarding TF, i would treat what you are now, if it doesn't resolve i would then test for TF again making sure to wait at least 2 weeks after any antibiotic or worming treatment, 24-48 hours after any probiotics and make sure to sample several poo specimens as TF is shed intermittently so a single sample may not show a correct result....

Good luck, keep us updated as to how he is... as you know, i also treated 4 cats for TF after dealing with drippy bloody poo for months and changing foods 100 times!!! So i do feel your pain!

Update: Jasper is so much easier to give meds to now! I am joining the sazza boat so no I don't hate you haha! I think he just really hates the antibiotic! He doesn't even put up a fight or struggle at all! Whew thank goodness that's over!

Thanks so much about for the info lollo and bengalfan!!! I am really thinking I am going to retest do tf! It's still nagging at me for some reason and usually this "mother instinct" feeling is for good cause! He is still not doing as well as I would I have thought! It's back to sanitizing EVERYThInG and cleaning up smeared poo everywhere! I had to get up at two a.m and change my bedding because he had just came from the box and had poo all over him it's sad and I know he can't help it but it soooo frustrating!! Could it still be from the meds an everything clearin out? He is still on the meds for coccidia! Poor boy! He has even lost two pounds in the last two weeks! That's a lot IMO but the vet isn't worried about it!

Ugh, I feel your pain, am going through something very similar now. Amelie has a urine infection and I have to give her a pill morning and night for 7 days. First few days were not too bad because she didn't have a clue, but now, she know and the claws are out. She looks at me with big wild eyes afterwards too :( and seemed scared of me.

Sometimes I ask the vet for an injection. I did this when my other cat was injured and I didn't want to manhandle him trying to get an tablet down, so I was given morphine injections for him which worked a treat and so much easier than tablets.

I don't ask the vet this time though, I though we'd see how we go and tbh, after seeing how tough Amelie's skin was when she tried to inject her, I don't think it would be an easier option.

Do Bengals tend to have tougher skin than ordinary cats?
