I have been trying to get Mieka into her harness, she does have a little wander but tends to crawl along the floor.

I am looking into getting a better harness as she seems quite comfy walking on a leash with a collar but she can wiggle out of it, so looking into the butterfly/vest type. All the ones i can find seem to have velcro, but i'd worry she can get out of it, can anyone recommend a butterfly vest design with maybe a secure fastener or clip in? Thanks in advance x

Velcro is very secure and infinately adjustable for the best fit, Don't have it too loose!

Cats should never be walked on a collar and a lead. Far too dangerous, they are not the same as dogs at all. Their necks are very delicate and a lot of damage can be caused if they were to try to make a run for it. They need a harness that goes behind their front legs as well as around the neck.

Mynwood jackets are the style that is the most comfortable and safest. The Velcro is actually very very strong. I much preferred the jackets made at Happy House Cats than Mynwood. I have both and the HHC ones are so much better. That being said, Louise is no longer making them and the girl that took over stopped fulfilling orders. I do believe someone else has taken over now but I cannot vouch for the quality. My issue with the Mynwood jackets was that the neck strap was quite thick and this made walking impossible for my slight Tonks. My Bengal coped very well with it but the Tonks struggle. She may have altered her design somewhat as my Mynwood jackets are 3 years old. Still much better to have a fabric jacket made to measure than a harness designed for dogs or cats based on a thin straps.

If you're looking for something girly... Haha! Bought this harness a bit ago. She hates it and it's not practical but it is adorable...



Just to add: It's a pretty sturdy harness but I bought it mainly to see what she'd look like in it and only started using it today. It seems comfortable but lacks the ability to adjust quickly.

I, myself will be buying a harness that fits the torso of Lily (for actual outside walking) as I've heard they're the best ones/seen high recommendations! I'm also a big worry wort and they tend to be regarded as the safest.

I haven't walked her out on a collar and leash just tested to see which bit was annoying her. I was a little bit weary about the Velcro worrying it would come lose. Will check the recommendations out thanks everyone.
Btw I love the wings Sooo cute. I've seen a few little outfits that have caught my eye for photoshoot ideas hehe x

I don't know why the pink ones are so pretty .... but I don't think my boy would look pretty in pink! My cat is so laid back. I use a figure 8 harness on him with no problem. I will look for a harness jacket for winter time. I'm sure our walks will continue through rain, sleet and snow.

Both my tigers (that's what I call them haha) have figure 8 harness but they won't walk on them they are a year old now. They aren't fussed at all but they don't seem bothered by a collar mieka often strokes around the house with her leash by herself. But I'm wondering (more hoping haha) that maybe a butterfly vest type will be more comfy and she will walk. She loves being active and I'd love to be able to take her for a proper stroll as she loves the snow as do I! Fingers crossed....x

Ps I do looooove the wings! I'd love to get the shark outfit that's circulating on vine...is anyone else on vine? I update cat videos now and then on there I love it
