Hi all just wondering whether anyone else has the problems of their bengal being clumsy she is constantly running into things or falling off things when shes playing is this normal???

i dont know she seems fine most the time and only bangs into things when shes playing and over excited?? xx

Mine runs into the walls and doors when we're playing because he's running so fast and he's on the wood floors. That's why we usually play in the bedroom which has carpet. I think your kitty's concentration is on the playing activity and not where she's going or what she's walking on.

BB and Jasper run into things all the time BUT it is also because they are running 100 mph on wood floors! They never just run into anything without sliding and crashing! Jasper never falls off of anything, he takes his time and calculates his jumps landings etc. BB on the other hand is the most clumsy cat I have ever seen! Even when she is not playing she falls off of things! She will jump on top of my dresser and just hang by nails because she is sliding off! I certainly think you should have her checked out if she is runnin into things randomly!!! Better safe than sorry! I brought it up to my vet about BB and he said often times inner ear problems can cause them to be a bit clumsy!

Archie tends to run into things as well, but for the most part he is going so fast he just can not stop in time.

It is funny to watch him carpet surf.

He screams down the hallway and jumps onto the little carpet in front of the guest suite, he then hangs on for the ride.

When he has finished he will come and meow at us until we move the carpet so that he can do it again, but he does crash and burn every so often while doing this.
