It does not remove any smell, but fragnance carpet very well and you cannot smell stinky.

I cant help with cleaning tips... but landlords? I do have experience.

What would the agency/your landlord say if you asked to enhance the home with new furnature, brass fittings or shelves?
Perhaps you could find out about ''improving'' the rooms we know are pee damaged (agency/LL doesnt know) with laminate hardwood floors or plush brand new carpeting?
(you can sell the idea like that, then just buy w/e carpet you can afford)

In my previous leased homes I was free to ''upgrade'' things if I asked first and on the agreement that I take nothing with me at end of lease ... Landlords should be only to happy to let you re-decorate if it improves the home and thus raises the possible rent fee they can charge in future.

Anyway, if you can be clever about it and get permission to change the carpet then THAT will be your chance to really get down to the flooring and underlay that it would seem are pee damaged beyond saving, and scrub away soaked and dried in pee in the floor surface itself before laying out new underlay and carpet.

BengalDaddy that's a genious idea but the carpets in the house are very posh and expensive that match right throughout. Our landlady doesn't like us doing anything to the house and isn't very helpful either (left us four months with a leaky tap and 3 months with a broken alarm). I don't think she would let me replace the carpets as they are lovely and i couldn't afford anything this nice nor to put it throughout the whole house!! Sorry i seem to be going against almost everything you say but i really, really don't mean to. Like i said in the other post i do really appreciate your tips and advice! Thanks again :-) x

I know yeah bummer!! Eeeek yes i can!!!! I can lift it far back enough in the corner where they peed to see the underlay and i have put the cleaner on there now too. So hopefully this will help and i will do the other spots too. I have just been to pets at home and bought some more - simple solution i'm using as people suggest repeat treatments help, and while i was there i found a huge bottle of it designed for the carpet machines (i have a vax) so i got that too. And also some more treats to try see if i can teach my kitties any tricks. We shall see!! I'm feeling a little more positive again at the moment. Sometimes it just gets me so down.

Nooo i wouldn't throw a wobbler because everyone is entitled to their own opinion and it's not like you have been nasty about it so no harm done. I just didn't want it to seem as though i was purposely disagreeing with you or going against things you said that's all because i'm really not like that. I'll put my opinions in (as polite as i can) but i hate conflict and certainly don't like to upset other people. Everyone who knows me knows that i wouldn't say boo to a goose as the funny little saying goes. Doesn't matter what people suggest whether i agree or not i am still grateful to them for even taking the time to read my post let alone offer me advice too.
