Hi first post, new here and only hadmy Bengal few days how but unfortunately it's hot weather for once in England ! I was wondering of ways to stop my ill man from escaping through colors so i can open them in the summer. Anyone know of and kind of v safe door screens? Any info would be great

I've been looking at the flyscreens with pet mesh - I've yet to purchase one yet. Unfortunately my two are quite boisterous and when i once opened a top vent within seconds they were both crawling out. Its vent position only unless they are shut out of the room.

I guess it's common in Europe to not have screens on the windows. But, even sometimes the screens don't help. I know a cat who pushed out the screen and fell from the second floor and went missing for a few weeks. Thing is, cats are smart and they are fast. It looks like you'll have to fabricate something that will cover the open window to keep them safe.

I have recently used this set-up to contain Merlin after an eye injury.



It is two old stair-gates, with a panel blanking in the gap over the top.
I simply disposed of the swivel and lock fixings and used the extending bolts to lock it into the gully on my double-glazed door frame.
The gaps are too wide for a kitten, but there are other types of gates that are filled in with mesh.... Available under £20.

That stair gate idea is pretty good. I have currently tacked up a thin net type material over windows ,inhale no doubt that he will soon claw tthrough this haha.be a good invention if someone comes up witja door one tho. Too risky letting alone out round here, either get ran over or stollen!!
