Has anyone had any experience with flat cats window protectors?

It's a mesh that you attach around the windows with velcro strips. Seems like a good idea (especially as we've had more than two days of sun in England this year haha). At the moment I just have to bake in the house for fear of Widget or Pixel escaping out of the windows. So I'm going to get a quote for several of these window protectors.

Just wondered if anyone had come across them before and used them and whether they are bengal proof?

lol me again....Yes we have some - 4 covers - two over the conservatory windows, one in our bedroom and one in the lounge - 6 Bengals, all still in tact

Brilliant, thanks. That's pretty much exactly what I wanted to hear haha. And no troubles with them poking their paws round the sides at all? (My Widget is a clever one). Though I think if I'm that worried, they will customise it and allow for velcro the whole way round anyway.

We generally have fly wire screens on all our windows in this country, to keep out the hordes of insects and spiders
Added benefit - it keeps in cats.

Here in the States, our windows come with screens.

Yeah that's not common on this side of the pond. Guess we don't have as many nasties? Not sure.

I did find another company which would fit screens to the frames but it would leave holes in the window frames if I ever wanted to remove them as they had to be screwed on. At least with the flat cat solution it would be easier to remove if I wanted to- would just need to get rid of any adhesive residue.

Its so easy to make yourself for a fraction of the cost.
I made something virtually identical for one of my dad's windows about 25 years ago. I used a bit of fine mesh steel screen, cut it to size and stitched velcro onto it. I made it for a different reason though. It was actually for keeping wasps out of the house.
I never thought anyone would actually market what is a very simple idea.

I've had a look at stuff like this before, also the netting on zooplus:

But each time been put off by warnings about leaving your cat unattended. That kind of makes it pointless to have for me as it would be on with a window open to keep her cool while I'm out.

I'd also worry about her climbing the net or getting tangled in it somehow. Or pulling the velcro off.
