ailurophile, why did you get a second cat?

Laurel how absolutey rude of you to tell me to rehome my cats. Disgusting. That would do them no good. They are both asleep on the same bed, PURRING. If I rehomed my cats they would be worse off. For one ailura is heavily bonded to me and will only cuddle with me and she would not appreciate being rehomed. Lilith likes to be in the same room as ailura, I'm sure as much as they are grumpy at each other they deep down love each other.

As for living conditions I lived with disgusting room mates for only a short time before I moved out into my own home with my partner, it's us two an the two cats and the living conditions are very good.

You guys make me want to leave these forums because you think you're helping but you aren't, you're so pushy with your opinions and don't consider anything else but rehoming them so it seems!!!!

I would never re home my cats because I know it's not the best thing for them to do. I'm 19 so yes I still have much learning to do but don't think because I'm young that I'm not as great and omniscient as you all think you are!

Safe to say I WON'T be asking for help on these forums ever again, because god forbid my cats have an issue and I don't rehome them!!!

You are the one that said something about rehoming in the first place! I have NEVER heard of anyone suggesting that is would be best to rehome, except for this situation!!! It is clear to me from following you on Instagram that you have no respect for your cats or any other living or dead animal!!!!! If you can put aside your selfish ways to seperate the cats for a SHORT time, you DO NOT need them! You came back to say that they are cuddled up together, so what's the problem? I didn't think they get along!?!?!?

I seem to recall that all the good and well-intended information when you originally lived in a flat-share, and the boys got a dog, fell on deaf ears. Unfortunately you do seem to pick answers that tell you only what you want to hear, or berate users who offer you genuine advice and guidance.

Might I suggest that if you don't like what people say, when you ask for guidance, that you may be better off using a different forum. You do behave like a Troll at times, posting as if just to get a response.....

Take care - I do hope you listen and separate the kitties to try a reintroduction, or go with rehoming them if you can't give them what they clearly need.

Bkilgore if you are following me on Instagram and are referring to the picture of the pig head, I was actually doing a photography project for university about food democracy, dont be so judemental! this is exactly my problem you all look past thigs and assume the worst! So..Using a pig head in a project AGAINST eating animal product means i have no respect for animals?! honestly stop being so narrow minded! and you can see my cats that they look HAPPY AND HEALTHY!!!!

You have all blown things out of proportion and I'm honestly offended you believe my cats need to be rehomed. I said they were purring sleeping on the same bed because they were, there's only an issue now when there's food around. Is that honestly worth rehoming them for! I inserted "rehome" in the title that's the time I ever mentioned it and I only put it there to draw attention to this post so people would read it!

And dismiss the past when I lived in a shared home with a dog IT'S THE PAST! Ailura was never unhappy there only I was! And I took action an moved out (like many of you suggested) so don't say I never listen to your advice because I clearly have at times. Just not this time!

Haha me!! Narrow minded!?!?! Yeah I am talking about the bloody pig head you had on your kitchen table!! You flaunted it around with your cats sniffing it!! It was very disturbing and I stopped following you when you didn't explain the pig crying blood! Truly disturbed! EVERYONE advises for you to reintroduce them!!! That was the suggestion made until you came back and said you could/WOULD not do that next logical thing would be to rehome them like YOU suggested!!!!!!!!

The blood was food dye, not real blood. The poster i made from the photography was about "do you really know WHO you're eating?" "Who" Rather than "what", the blood tear and a little photoshop gave the pig emotion, so it was more than just a pig. And i intended to have a shock factor.. That's why there was fake blood. And I wasn't flaunting it everywhere, my cats were very interested in the pig and I thought it'd be cute to take a few photos!

As for reintroducing them, yes I've taken it into consideration and if I feel it's necessary I will, however things are getting better with feliway and they are improving, if things keep improving there's no need to reintroduce. It would be difficult to reintroduce because of the layout of the house, the lounge room joins to the kitchen and the bedroom with sliding doors that both cats know how to open. The only room I could use as a safe room is the spare room, and I know they would both much prefer to not be locked up in a room, it would be more stressful for them.
