Hello, me again.

My lovely two have survived the marathon trip to the UK (Feb), got their UK passports and the verdict is that they are fit, lovely, and beautiful cats according to Heathrow Animal Reception and the local vet that had to complete the paperwork. And who I am to disagree?

They settled into our temporary home, which they loved. And given their mutual experience of immigration, they became very close, although they always got on well before.

After six weeks, we moved into our second temporary home (since late March) which is a mobile home until our permanent home is built. Given we live in the middle of nowhere, we've allowed them to explore 'the great outdoors' after one month of being cooped up.

Now the problems have started.

Naturally, my Bengal is out and about, but my lovely disabled BS is out but home pdq.

The problem is that the Bengal is hissy and nasty to her 'other half', and my little BS just wants all to be okay. He follows her around like a love-sick puppy but since she's been out and about, she's adopted a queen bitch persona. To me, she is more affectionate than I've ever known her...

I can get Feliway, but is there anything else I can do?

You've basically pointed out what I feared - that is this is the way it will be.

I'm having a home built here in the UK and I've already adapted it to include a cap-flap, as now my Bengal has experienced the great outdoors, it's not fair on her to expect her to adapt to indoor living again. I do, with retrospect, believe she suffered being an indoor cat. She is loving the great outdoors (as I do myself!), so that is what she'll enjoy for the rest of her life with us.

My BS remains his normal happy chappy persona and is in fact losing a little weight, so not all bad!

I wake up every morning to the two of them curled up together across my feet, so clearly they sort out their differences when I'm in dream world. It would just be nice if they could be friends during my waking hours.
