So Daisy had a little accident, think the stress of leaving the litter and coming home gave her a upset tummy but she totally went in the opposite corner of the room to where the litter tray is.

I've obviously wiped it up, scrubbed the carpets with hot water and fairy and sprayed a bit of fabreeze down but I'm not convinced its going to clear the smell 100%.

What would people recommend to do to get rid of the smell so I can try and prevent this area becoming an open air litter area

Also something good for removing urine odour??

Kittens get scared and easily spooked in new homes. It is fairly common really. Do you just have the one tray? I would pop another down as well.

Also, is the tray the same sort as at the breeders? Open/closed......

I'm not mad at her :) it's to be expected I was lucky with Lilly she has used her litter box from day one although I do think I did find an accident place and that's right where daisy poo'd! So I can't be mad at her!

I have 1 litter tray for each cat plus one extra (upstairs)

I did catch daisy midstream so she did manage to get some in her litter tray so I'm hoping now she's scented it she will find it!

Breeder had 2 closed litter trays and one open. Mine was closed but as she's tiny I've opened it. Keep putting her in it now and again like when she's woken up/eaten or drank anything.

Her urine did smell strong! Will be defiantly going to pets at home tomorrow and scrub away! My carpet scrubber that I did have typically broke on me tonight.

Give her another tray in her safe room so she has two she can use that are not too far away from her. This will help a lot as small kittens often need to go NOW and so cannot wait to find their tray.

Simple solution is ace!

Use plenty and allow it to soak in and work properly, don't scrub, blo, then leave to dry properly.

I would have at least 2 smallish open trays and restrict her to where they are near. Pop her in one at regular intervals esp after she has eaten, and when she wakes up. They get involved in playing and forget they need to go.

Simple solution is now working its magic, another small open litter ray has gone in the room, around the area she's been using but there's no set pattern. I can't find where she's urinating but the poo is not easily missed. She had two accidents during the night. Still very runny. Been onto the breeders who suggested canigest. Typically my vet is closed and companion care in pets at home where no help to me. Having to travel to the emergency vets which are apart of my practice to go pick some up. Just feeding her cooked chicken to help settle her tummy.

No it's fine, you can call me foolish.

Thing is, I would love to keep them apart now especially with Daisy how she is. I have concerns about her and will be going to the vets in the morning. However my other family members (parents, mainly my dad) just can't comprehend the importance of keeping them apart.

They have had interaction, but very minimal.

I have now got daisy using the litter tray might actually be a bit small for her so may have to get yet another one.
