I do use a water spray bottle to stop some behaviour, mostly picking on auntie Evie . Although it works well at stopping the behaviour that very minute it does not prevent them doing it time after time

While this might not be possible, if you could put a shelf or something like that above the dresser, your cat will probably naturally go for the higher ground. The best way to make a bengal abandon a good spot is to show it a better spot.

I do not have my Bengal kitten yet (only 2 more weeks!!! ) but we have been preparing for him as best we can. We found an awesome 6 foot cat tree on amazon for $99!
We were lucky when we saw it as it was on sale... But! If you keep your eyes peeled I'm sure you'll be able to find something for a decent price. Keep checking amazon and ebay, I'm sure you'll find something on there for cheaper than you will in a pet supply store. Or could you try to make one yourself?

Maybe try to give her a better place to be, something more attractive than the dresser. Maybe something higher? Or a carpeted shelf?

I would look on ebay for a cat tree! I have never paid over 100 for any of mine! That's with free shipping, you can get some really great deals on cat furniture on ebay and amazon! Also they have shelves for cats called cat clouds, I have two of them in my master bedroom and the cats never get on my furniture!!! At least in there anyway!

If you really want your cats to not use your dresser, then the best approach is to give them a better place to climb on. Mine leave me dresser alone (not that I'd mind in the slightest if they'd use it) but they have 2 cat trees and a big catwalk to play on that they prefer, not to mention my bed.

I'm in the process of making a cardoard townhouse for my bengal at the moment! It's a really fun project, cutting windows, doors, carpets, adding toys. I will post a thread once i'm finished.

But I also agree with the cat trees on ebay - cheap and flat packed.

I picked up a cat tunnel for $10 which Django is loving too.

I keep all my jewelry in the "jewelry" drawer of my dresser. The top is naked. Of course this just make exploring the underwear and sock drawers as I'm putting laundry away all the more intriguing.

I've rearranged furniture to give the cats access to the tops of the curio cabinet and bookshelves. I noticed when I put the oldest cat tree in the bedroom that Ben has gone from sleeping on my feet to staring at me from above.

My couch and chairs are all covered with blankets to protect them from claws and hair.

My male Ralph is pretty well behaved but when he isn't i give him a stern no in a low tone of voice and that works for him. As for cat trees, my girlfriend hated all the cat trees online amd at pet stores so I built my own. Got the idea from a lap leopards website...http://lap-leopards.com/tag/modern-cat-furniture/

I bought some floating shelves, carpet tiles and 2 way tape. Cut and tape the carpet to shelves and place them wherever you'd like. Worked for us amd he loves it!!
